All members of Trefoil Guild and Girlguiding (Birmingham) as well as Unit Helpers, adult helpers and Senior Section members are very welcome to the annual Thinking Day celebration at Trefoil House on Sunday 19th February. Refreshments at 1.30 for 2pm start of event.
Bupa Great Birmingham Run – Senior Section
On Sunday 23rd October Weoley Rangers volunteered at the Birmingham Great Run ready to take on our own challenge – collecting the time chips of runners at the finish line! Everyone had such a great day and we are already excited about the possibility of volunteering again next year. (we did such a good job they’ve asked us back!!!)
Brownies raise money for skills badge
10th Birmingham 1st Bournville Brownies (Middlepark) have been working towards their Brownie Skills badge. We decided to hold a ‘bring & buy’ sale. We wanted to raise money for a local charity and held a vote – the winner was ‘Troup Aid’ they provide injured servicemen & women who fly to the QE Hospital with basic recourses i.e. toothbrush, razor, pyjamas, socks. We all bought in old toys, books, bric a brac and lots of homemade cakes. The girls worked really hard and we made a fantastic £118.50 – in 1 hour!!
